First of all I would like to say that it’s an honour and privilege to be asked to judge at the inaugural event of The CSJ Agility Open and want to wish all competitors best of luck.
I got hooked on agility after following my wife around the country while she was competing with her Cocker Spaniels. In 2004 I started competing with my own Cocker Spaniel and now compete with Working Cockers and a Border Collie at Championship and International level with Team Wales.
In 2007 I qualified as an agility judge and in 2015 as a Kennel Club Championship Judge. The highlights of my judging career have to be the 2015 World Agility Open, the 2015 US Open, the UKA National Finals and the inaugural British Agility Championships. I have also judged international team selections including England, Wales, Ireland and Italy and, of course, have had the honour of awarding Championship Certificates at all three heights at UK Kennel Club events.
Much of my judging influence comes from observing how agility is evolving across the globe. The opportunities that exist from my involvement with Team GB as both the partner of an active competitor at European and World Championships and also as Team Technical Coach for Team GB enable me to develop and promote the good aspects of agility.
43 years old, I live with my wife Rosie and our seven dogs in Newport, South Wales.
When not competing, training or judging I am a Director of Design for a large Commercial Architectural Practice in Cardiff, South Wales.
