As a Competitor
A highly successful competitor for the past 20 years, Lee has competed at all the major agility events including Olympia and Crufts. With his dogs he has won other major finals and Championship Certificates (CCs) and is currently competing with his dog Sadie at the highest grade in Kennel Club competitions, repeating his achievement with his 7 previous dogs.
Lee’s overseas agility conquests include World Agility Championships Silver Medal in the Pentathlon in 2016, Team Silver at the FCI Agility World Championships in 2011 and 2016, and Team Bronze in 2008 at the European Open. Also at the European Open, Lee qualified for the Individual Finals in 2011, 2012 and 2016, and also the Team Final in 2016. He is a current GB squad and WAO England team member.
As a Judge
A keen competitor, as we have seen, judging agility events seemed like the next step for Lee. He has now judged for over 16 years and at the very highest levels at home and abroad. Arguably one of the highest honours for an agility judge is to preside at Olympia, which Lee did in 2016 to great acclaim. He has also judged at Crufts in 2008 and 2015 as well as all the major finals in the UK.
When he’s not busy judging and competing at home, Lee also shares his judging prowess internationally, having judged at the World Agility Championships in 2011, and at the UKI Nationals (South Carolina, USA) in 2013. He has also judged in Germany, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Japan, South Africa, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Ireland, Singapore and Poland.
As an Instructor/Trainer
Somehow Lee finds time to help others improve their agility and judging skills. A founder member of the Global Judging Program with Greg Derrett, Lee is committed to improving judging standards and has taught both handling and judging skills worldwide.
